The Future of Steve Online

Posted on 05 March 2013 by Steve

I’m torn here.

Steve Online, while a new incarnation of my blog, really is going to end up a sideways mix of both my personal life and my professional life. I’m not 100% sure what I want to do at this moment in regards to the site. I have another domain that is ideal for the marketing side of my blog here and a place where I could focus 100% on Sales and Marketing for Small Biz through Enterprise / Fortune 500 companies. It’s got a good catch to it, I have a wordpress already setup on the domain and it’s ready for me to start publishing some content to it so it has a bit of a headstart before announcing it.

A second blog just for marketing would make sense on many levels. Lots of people don’t care about what I do for a living and just want to see pics of my kid (aka friends and family) or read about my latest personal adventure or crazy opinion.

That leaves me with the dilemma of what to do. The entire point of setting this place up was to consolidate. But I didn’t really expect to start going down the professional path with the site and I did. So crossing that line was entirely my fault.

2 years ago before the whole baby and pregnancy thing I did start working on my marketing site and then went another way. I think it might be time to make that split now before this site becomes too much of a work site, and not enough about my life which was the original intent.

If that’s the case I will undoubtedly PAUSE my current Follow The Path series and move it to the new site. It only makes sense for it to exist on that site and not here. Probably only a weeks delay, two tops, while I get everything finished and moved over.

Stay tuned.
